“Battle of Alberta”

Calgary Flames (1-2-0) VS Edmonton Oilers (2-1-0)

Scotiabank Saddledome 8:00PM

Radio: Fan 960AM TV: CBC (HD)

Forward Lines:
Kiprusoff (S)

Expect line juggling, some lines may be different at puck drop. Clearly the Tanguay-Jokinen-Iginla line has not been working and that is why Stajan moves up to the first line, how long do you wait? Pardy, Bourque, Kotalik, Ivanans, Langkow and Stone all remain out of the line up with injuries.

Keys to success for the Flames, where to begin… the Flames have to be more competitive in all aspects of the game. I know I sound like a broken record but the power play has to start producing and creating momentum! The Flames will face an aggressive penalty kill just like the PK we seen from Florida, they must outwork the PK! Focus on getting the puck on goal, the Flames 5 on 5 play has not been good and instead of gaining the zone and turning back, players like Iginla, Jokinen and Hagman should be driving to the net. Shots shots shots get that puck on net!

Things to watch, watch the #1 line, their compete level has not been there and hopefully they have a chip on their shoulders and we see a more dominating line. The Flames will want to make it a long tough night on Khabibulin. I predict Khabibulin will see the body of Jackman or Glencross on top of him early into the game! This is a game the Flames have to win and I am sure the team will be fired up. On a last note I hope Sarich is in over Staios and that’s the way it should have been last game too! UPDATE: Starting to look like Brodie could be the odd man out.
