Keys to a Flames victory, do not let the “conroy ceremony” make your legs dead. Come out hard after the ceremony and put pucks in Budaj’s feet. With the Anderson injury for Colorado the Flames must make the evening a tough one on Budaj. Do not let the Avalanche defence get comfortable with Budaj behind them, they are used to Anderson and let’s see if we can make both Budaj and Graham play tonight! Colorado average over 32 shots per game, we must find a way to minimize that and play in their zone!

Things to watch, Stewart and Hejduk are both sizzling hot and must be contained by the likes of Regehr and Sarich. The Avs are without some toughness in Foote and Koci meaning the Flames can pick on some of their youngsters and play a very physical game hopefully making them wilt! The biggest thing I am going watch is the Flames confidence in front of Karlsson! He showed he can play and the team really likes him so I wonder if we see the team take that confidence and play the way they should and do in front of Kiprusoff for Karlsson.

Injury update:
Hagman- Game time decision (maintenance)
Ivanans- Started skating (concussion)
Pardy- Still a ways a way for now
Moss- Could be in on Saturday if needed, most likely will play next week.
Kotalik- the “boot” is off, he should begin skating soon.

With the Heat:
Pelech- injured his shoulder waiting on MRI results
Cameron- Out day to day for now
Irving- tweaked his knee. Does not appear to be too serious right now
Negrin- Surgery will be out 6 weeks at least

GO FLAMES GO
