Keys for a Flames victory, continue their high energy and pressure game from the Edmonton game on Saturday. Faceoff success the Flames dominated the Oilers in the face off dot and created some good chances doing so, match that and goals will come. Discipline needs to be better, I feel this team can and will need to stay out of the box more. And last thing is make the Nashville defence men work and work hard. Nashville has a very skilled and tough d-core so make them play deep in their zone and break them down!

Things to keep an eye on, how will Bourque be? First game back after a head injury and in all his recent interviews does not sound confident he is ready to go. Iginla scored last game and hopefully this will light him up, he has had some success playing against the Preds so maybe he will again tonight. Nashville averages 34.2 shots per game so look for the Flames defence to be very physical early.

The Rumour Front:The Calgary Flames sent down TJ Brodie to the Abbotsford Heat and 20min later grabbed Brendan Mikkelson off of waivers from the Anaheim Ducks. This could mean the Flames did not like the development process with Brodie and want him to develop in the AHL. And with the Negrin injury and Kronwall being gone they wanted some depth to cover that hole. Or like a lot of people are speculating a bigger move could be in the works. We don’t know but with Sutter as a GM anything is possible.

Flames Jambalaya is in no way, shape or form associated with the Calgary Flames Hockey Club or the AHL affiliate, the Abbotsford Heat. This is a fans blog for fans. We just happen to love the Flames, so we write about it.
